It takes 10 years.

 

10 years for Xavin to get back. 10 long years before she sees Earth again.
 

 

And when she finally returns, neither she nor the place she left is the same. The Runaways have split, each memeber going their separate ways. Karolina moved on, tired of waiting for a woman who may never return. She built a new life, tried to forget. And yet she found her relationships always failing, Xavin's memory a curse on her. And then, on a warm summer's night there's a knock on the door, and there she is. Xavin, in a 17 year old form. The past returned.

 
And Xavin herself has changed. More reclusve, less proud, less sure. Slow to shift, slow to use her powers. Most importantly, she's uncertain. Scared. Untrusting.
 

 

10 years is a long time after all.
 

 

Facts:

-Upon arriving amongst the surviving Majesdanians Xavin is put on trial. A mockery of one, yes.

-She's sentance to a life spent helping the Majesdanians build a new home. It's not a good life.

-It takes 4 years until she can successfull fake her death and in turn, escape.

-The next 6 years are spent hitch hiking through the galaxies to try and get back to Earth without arousing suspicions of anyone. She trusts no one, not even other Skrulls.

-The only thing that keeps her going is the memory of Karolina's warmth and a dinky old plastic compass, worn down by touches.

 

-Now that she's back, Xavin stays in her human female form more regulary, rarely shifting into male or skrull.

-She does still train, slowly trying to build herself back up to her old strength.

-Her relationship with Karolina is shaky but she's desperate to repair it.

-She is yet to see any of the other Runners and doesn't really know what's happening with them.
-Dislikes crowds and not being around familiar faces, has a nervous habit of rubbing the compass Molly gave her to stay calm.
